... a walk in the Park ...
simagebh, 10:37h
On February 9th I visited Healesville Sanctuary, a zoo for Austalian wildlife.
"Wom-en-jika" means "welcome" in the language of the Wurundjeri people, the traditional custodians of Victoria (Australia), so welcome some of the native Australians:
-the Emus (looks a bit like a ostrich)

... sorry here the front view(s)

-everyone knows these fellows: Kangaroos

...whoop whoop

-ohy some Cackatoos

... and his more punkish friend

- the (worldfamous) Platypus
... sorry no pictures of that one, he loves darkish environment ... so no flash allowed :-( ... such a loser.
- but here comes the Goanna

... seeking for a bit more sun, it had only 23°C that day
-and some evil Tasmanian Devils

... they love to fight against each other and an even more evil virus took advantage of it. They live on an island called Tasmania (belongs to Australia)
- help ... Bats ... lucky me they are sleeping

- and finally Koalas ... they sleep 20 hrs a day

I am jealous.
